Coronavirus Death Toll in Greece Rises to Six

Greek health authorities announced on Thursday that a 70-year-old male died from yjr Covid-19 coronavirus infection in the northern town of Kastoria.
This is the sixth victim of the pandemic in Greece.
On Wednesday, Greek authorities confirmed thirty-one new diagnosed cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 418.
In his daily briefing, infectious disease specialist Sotiris Tsiodras said of this total, 79 are hospitalized and thirteen of these are in intensive care.
The source of infection for 64 of the 418 is unknown at this time, he said.
Tsiodras further added that mathematical models pointed to 2,000-3,000 people in Greece being infected at this point.
A total of 6,000 tests for coronavirus have already been completed, which resulted in the 418 confirmed diagnoses.
As to the patients who are in intensive care, they are for the most part around 70 years of age and are receiving a cocktail of different medications to fight the virus.
