Coronavirus Pandemic: Greece Extends School Closures Until April 27

The Greek government announced on Friday that it will extend the period during which schools and Universities will have to remain closed due to the covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.

The closure is now extended until April 27, when schools would close anyway for the Easter vacation.

Speaking with Greece’s ANT1 television, Education minister Niki Kerameus said that schools and universities will not open before the end of the Easter holidays.

She also did not rule out an extension to the school and academic year so that students do not lose their year or semester.
