The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in continual negotiations with authorities in Italy and Spain so that Greek nationals, who are primarily students, who wish to return to Greece will be able to do so.
Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias spoke on the phone with his Italian counterpart Luigi di Maio, and agreed that a flight and a ferryboat will bring Greek citizens back to Greece in the coming days.
Additionally, Italian citizens currently in Greece will be able to fly back to Italy from Athens.

A similar measure was agreed upon between Athens and Madrid on Friday.
Three special Aegean Airlines flights will bring Greek nationals back to Greece over the weekend from Madrid and Barcelona.
Greek authorities have been urging people who wish to return from Spain to go as soon as possible either to Madrid or Barcelona and contact the Greek embassy or consulates in those cities.

Similar flights will also repatriate Spaniards who are currently in Greece and wish to return  to their home country.
Spain also agreed to bring Greek nationals back to Europe from Latin America, as Madrid will organize a repatriation procedure for its own citizens who are currently in Latin American countries.
A flight to repatriate Greek citizens has also been scheduled to leave on Saturday from Poland.
