Cyprus Reports First Coronavirus Death

Cyprus reported the first fatality in the country caused by the COVID-19 pandemic late on Saturday.
The gentleman was a 70-year-old native of Great Britain.
The patient was initially hospitalized at Pafos General Hospital with a diminished life expectancy, as he was suffering from irreversible liver cirrhosis, acute hepatic insufficiency, and acute renal insufficiency.
During his hospitalization at Paphos General Hospital, the patient was found positive after being tested for the COVID-19. According to the report, the coronavirus aggravated his many already-existing medical condition.
The patient was taken to Famagusta General Hospital for further treatment, where he passed away on Saturday night.
