Greece Announces Stricter Curfew Measures for Santorini and Mykonos Islands

Following a discussion between Greece’s Deputy Civil Protection Minister Nikos Chardalias and the mayors of the islands of Santorini and Mykonos, stricter curfew measures will be imposed on these two popular Greek islands for the next fourteen days.
Mykonos
Residents of the island of Mykonos will no longer be able to exit their homes between 8 o’clock in the evening and 8 o’clock the next morning.
This measure will last for the next fourteen days.
Additionally, the residents of Mykonos will no longer be able to go out with their pets for more than 15 minutes, and this must be done just around their own homes.
Stricter measures will also be implemented for supermarkets and flea markets on the island.
Santorini
All construction on the island of Santorini will have to stop for a period of thirty days.
This ban does not include four public construction works currently underway on the island.
Curfew measures are much stricter on Mykonos because there have already been two diagnosed cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus on the island.
