Coronavirus: 72 New Cases, 3 More Dead in Greece

Greek Health Ministry spokesperson Sotirios Tsiodras announced on Saturday that 72 new cases of COVID-19 and three more deaths have been recorded in Greece.
In his daily report at 6 p.m., Tsiodras said that the total of dead in Greece has reached 93 and the total number of  confirmed cases is now 2,081.
The contagious diseases specialist also said that currently there are 75 people treated in ICU while 15 have been released from intensive care. Of the 93 victims so far, 67 are men and 26 are women.
Tsiodras said that the Greek peoples adherence to the measures taken for the prevention of the coronavirus spread are working and that reflects on the low number of infections and deaths compared to other countries.
He also said that there are promising messages from abroad about an intravenous drug that seems to have results and is also available in Greece, without, though, going into specifics.
On Friday, Tsiodras and Citizen Protection Deputy Minister Nikos Hardalias visited a Roma settlement near Larissa in Central Greece where there were 21 people that tested positive for COVID-19. Authorities ordered the settlement and surrounding area to be quarantined.
