In what has now become a coronavirus tradition, scores of Athens firefighters assembled outside the city’s Sotiria (Salvation) Hospital on Holy Wednesday morning to pay tribute to and thank all the doctors, nurses and paramedics who are battling against the pandemic.
Sotiria Hospital exclusively treats those patients who are suffering from the novel coronavirus.

The exact same thing happened last week in Thessaloniki, when firefighters assembled together outside to thank the medical staff of the AHEPA University Hospital.
The medical staff of Sotiria Hospital responded to the kind gesture by giving applause back to the firefighters back, since they too are continuing to selflessly be on call for any and all emergencies across the country in these difficult times.
