16-Year-Old Greek Girl Donates Hundreds of Masks to Hospital

A 16-year-old Greek girl on Thursday donated 300 masks to an Athenian hospital in a heartwarming gesture that shows how philotimo can motivate the country during these dark times.
Coralia Hadjiyannaki created a fundraising campaign called “The Greek Mask Project” in order to help the public health service cope with the shortage in surgical masks.
With the money she raised she donated the masks, decorated with the Greek flag,  to Evangelismos Hospital in central Athens, which is at the frontline of the battle against coronavirus.

Delivering the masks to the medical staff, Hadjiyannaki said: “These are the heroes of the battle against coronavirus and it is our duty to assist them in this effort, especially during the Easter period.”
Hadjiyannaki hopes that donations will keep flowing in so more masks can be offered to other Greek hospitals.
