The Contemporary Musical Orchestra from Greece’s Public Broadcaster ERT performed in the courtyard of Evangelismos Hospital in Athens on Monday evening as a gesture of gratitude for the hard work performed by the medical and paramedic staff of Greece’s National Health Service.
The Orchestra, which is considered one of the best in Greece, followed all the necessary social distancing measures while offering a few moments of happiness to the hundreds of doctors, nurses, carers and paramedics of Evangelismos Hospital, who found a few moments to enjoy the concert.
The patients currently staying at the hospital were also able to enjoy the beautiful melodies wafting up from the orchestra below their windows.
The musicians performed all-time classic Greek songs, such as ”Ela Pare Mou ti Lypi” composed by Manos Hatzidakis, and ”Aprilis,” written by Mikis Theodorakis.
