Nanotechnology 2020, the leading conference in the field of nanotechnology and nanosciences in southeastern Europe, is set to kick off Saturday July 4. And for the very first time, it will be taking place both virtually and live, in Thessaloniki.
“Most of the congress will be virtual and requires pre-registration. From July 6-10, the innovation exhibition will take place live at the Porto Palace Hotel,” a representative explained to Greek Reporter.
Scientists and engineers, university institutions, research centers and tech-innovation companies will be showcasing their most important applications and products in this rapidly growing sector. These will range from flexible electronics with various uses — including sensors, wearables, building materials and heating or cooling systems — to Covid19-specific technologies such as nanofilters.
Among the most anticipated scheduled events is the virtual nanomedicine conference, which will analyze the scientific data and latest predictions on the pandemic, with the participation of scientists and experts from around the world.

The Greek presence will be of course significant throughout the conference as well. The local avant-garde of the nanotechnology world will be introducing unique creations like 3rd-generation photovoltaics to the public for the very first time.
