Greece Registers 41 New Coronavirus Cases on Saturday

Greece registered 41 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) said on Saturday, with 11 of these relating to people entering Greece by land or air.
Of Saturday’s cases subtotal, 15 people requested a diagnostic test voluntarily, 9 were detected in the region of Attica, 3 in the region of Thessaloniki, 1 in Drama region and 2 in Xanthi region.
The total number of known cases has risen to 3,772 of whom 54.6 percent are men. Of these, 990 are linked to travel abroad and 1,969 have been traced to already known cases. The rest have not been traced or are under investigation.
No new deaths were recorded from Covid-19. Coronavirus-related fatalities since January 1 total 193, with the deceased having a median age of 76 years. Sixty-two of them were women, and over 95 percent had an underlying issue and/or were age 70 or above.
Another 9 are incubated in hospitals. Their median age is 59 years and 3 of them are women. Some 122 patients have so far been discharged from hospitals.
The number of diagnostic tests carried out in Greece for the virus total 371,167; of these, 5,934 (or 1.6 percent) were positive.
