Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias on Wednesday had a meeting with U.S. Ambassador in Athens Geoffrey Pyatt, according to a tweet issued by the Greek Foreign Ministry. According to reports, the meeting, which was held at the Foreign Ministry, focused on Greek-US Strategic Dialogue, as well as other regional developments and the Hagia Sophia issue.
“Important discussion with Minister @nikosdendias on our shared objectives for regional stability, our shared interests in the western Balkans, and planning for the next US-Greece Strategic Dialogue. Also reiterated our deep disappointment with Turkey’s decision on #HagiaSophia,” the US ambassador later tweeted about the meeting.
