The Greek health authorities confirmed on Tuesday that there were two new deaths from Covid-19 in the past day, while 36 new positive cases of the virus were diagnosed over the same time period.
In a reversal from recent trends, only two of the positive cases occurred at the country’s border entry points.
Including all the tests administered at border checkpoints and other points of entry, Greece has now performed a total of 419,906 coronavirus tests nationwide.
Greece’s National Organization for Public Health (EODY) stated that, counting these two new fatalities, the number of cases of Covid-19 in the country has now risen to 4,048, including all those who have recovered. The number of deaths in Greece is now at 197, with the median age of all the fatalities recorded to be 76.
The number of coronavirus patients treated in Intensive Care Units in Greece is currently  ten, according to the EODY. A total of 124 people have been treated at ICUs throughout the country and subsequently released since the outbreak of the virus.
