Seven Dead, Five Seriously Injured in Greek Car Crash Involving Migrants and Traffickers

Seven people were killed and five were seriously injured late on Tuesday night when a car hit a guardrail on Egnatia Highway in Alexandroupolis, northeastern Greece.
The accident took place at the Ardanio intersection in Alexandroupolis. The car was moving at a high speed and veered off course, crashing on the guardrail and flipping over.
According to local police, the vehicle had been stolen and was carrying undocumented migrants while one or two of the passengers were migrant traffickers.
Firefighters took all twelve passengers to the Alexandroupolis General Hospital where seven of them were pronounced dead, while the other five were unconscious and in serious condition.
