Greek authorities ordered two of the most popular beach bars on Mykonos to close down temporarily as a cluster of coronavirus cases was detected among their employees on Monday.
The beach bars “Nammos” on Psarrou Beach and “Scorpios,” in the area of Paraga, are typically among the most crowded with revelers on the cosmopolitan island.
The decision to suspend operations until Friday was made by the Secretary General of Civil Protection Vassilis Papageorgiou, who paid an unannounced visit and inspected their premises last Saturday.
The Civil Protection team tested the staff of the two beach bars, and the first results came out on Tuesday evening.
According to information, at least ten positive tests have been detected.
Mykonoslive.tv captured the scene showing the two deserted beach bars on Wednesday morning.
