A pod of nearly 30 bottlenose dolphins were spotted in the Mediterranean Sea off Limassol, Cyprus, on Friday.

Although the species of dolphin is the most common in the Mediterranean Sea, a pod this large is an uncommon sight in Cypriot waters.

The bottlenose dolphin is widely known for its graceful movement in the water, as well as its great intelligence and capability for complex communication with other members of its species.

The breathtakingly beautiful marine mammals are favorites of tourists as they often swim alongside boats, leaping in and out of the water to the delight of passengers.
