Liverpool New Greek Signing Kostas Tsimikas Tests Positive for Covid-19

Greek National Team defense player Kostas Tsimikas has tested positive for Covid-19 just hours before the squad was about to leave Slovenian capital Ljubljana for Kosovo for the second match of the UEFA Nations League on Sunday.
Tsimikas, who recently left Olympiacos for British champions Liverpool FC for a reported 16 million euros, and he did not play in the first Nations League game against Slovenia on Thursday (0-0) because he had a slight fever.
The player underwent a test for his condition and it turned out that he was infected with the coronavirus.
The Liverpool player was immediately quarantined, yet there is fear that other team members may be infected as well.
In an announcement issued by the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO), it is noted that “The UEFA return to play protocol is followed and the National Health Organization (EODY) and the General Secretariat for Sports health committee were immediately informed.”
The announcement further said that the player has been put in quarantine and the remaining members will be tested as well, with the results expected before the departure of the squad for Pristina, Kosovo.
