Greece Records 407 New Covid Cases, Four Deaths on Wednesday

On Wednesday, 407 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in Greece, along with four new deaths with the virus.
Of the 407 new cases, 56 are linked to known outbreaks, and just 25 were discovered at Greece’s points of entry during the routine testing of travelers.
Attica, home to the Greek capital city of Athens, is currently the most heavily hit region by the virus. An alarming 194 of Wednesday’s cases were recorded in Attica.
In total, there have been 20,947 recorded coronavirus cases in Greece, including all those who have recovered, of which 3,150 are connected to foreign travel, and 8,559 to contact with an already confirmed case.
The number of intubated patients with the virus is now 88. The median age of these patients, just 24 of whom are women, is 67. Nearly 91% of those intubated are over the age of 70 or have underlying health problems.
Since the start of the pandemic in Greece, 424 people have lost their lives with Covid-19. The median age of those who died with the virus is 78, and 96.5% of them were over the age of 70 or had preexisting conditions.
