The Piraeus Bank Group announced on Tuesday that it will fund the purchase of buses for the regions of Attica and Thessaloniki.
Alongside Piraeus Leasing, the bank said it will pay for the purchase of 200 buses to be used by the long-distance coach service KTEL, part of which serves long distances within the greater metropolitan areas of Athens, Corinth, Theva and Evia.
Attica KTEL will also lease some of the buses to supplement 31 KTEL long-distance schedules for Corinth, Theva and Evia.
In Thessaloniki, Piraeus Bank Group will pay for the supply of 180 buses to be used by the Thessaloniki Urban Transport Organization.
In a statement, the Piraeus Bank Group said it supports the strengthening of the transport network in these two regions with an upgrade that will help communities deal with the persistent coronavirus pandemic.
