Archbishop of all Greece Ieronymos, Synod Members in Coronavirus Self-Isolation

It was announced late on Tuesday that the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Ieronymos, along with the members of the Permanent Holy Synod, have now self-isolated as a precaution, after a case of the coronavirus was identified in a member of the Synod.
Archdiocesan authorities noted to Greek media that the Archdiocese said that the hierarchs and the Archbishop himself had all been tested for the coronavirus and are strictly observing all the necessary measures meant to contain the virus. They are currently awaiting the results of their tests.
Reports say that it was a member of the Holy Synod, the Metropolitan of Kalavryta, Ieronymos, who had tested positive for the virus, but that other priests had kept their appropriate social distances from him during a recent meeting of the Holy Synod, and they observed all the other measures that are in place now during that time.
The news comes as Anastasios, the Archbishop of Tirana, Durres and all Albania, has also come down with a case of Covid-19, leading to his being airlifted to Athens’ Evangelismos Hospital on Tuesday at the order of Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis.
It is reported, however, that he is only showing mild symptoms of the disease and his transfer to Athens was just a precautionary measure.
It is also noted that just last week, another Greek Orthodox prelate, Theoklitos, the Metropolitan of Ierissos, Mount Athos and Adrameri, had also been diagnosed with the coronavirus.
