The Greek Police announced on Friday night that they suspended three border guards and one police officer on the island of Lesvos, following the publication of a video, which showed them beating helpless refugees and migrants on the Eastern Aegean island of Lesvos.
The shocking footage of unjustified police brutality was published by the Greek Efimerida Ton Syntakton newspaper on Friday.
The unfortunate foreigners were most probably returning to their camps after visiting a nearby supermarket when they were stopped by the four officers for a check.
The video shows that for no apparent reason, the policemen became violent and began beating them while some of the refugees were on the ground without demonstrating any signs of resistance.
The Hellenic Police said that it has already ordered an investigation.
