A livestreamed art event called the “Silent Art Experience,” which will bring together art and music for all those who are stuck indoors during the lockdown, is the brainchild of several different European artists who say it will “Bring back positivity in these hard times.”

Marilisa Fragkaki and Maaike Klaassen, students at the Netherlands’ Fontys University, are just some of the creators of the event, which they hope will help those who are stuck at home, unable to view art and hear live music in public right now, get through the difficulties of lockdown.
On Sunday, January 10 the students at Fontys’ Academy of Creative Industries will go live with their one-of-a-kind art experience. The online stream will include not only art and dance but live demonstrations — some of them comical as well, with one even showing watchers how they can make a hat out of a potato chip bag!

The creators say that considering the realities of the current pandemic, “the goal of the Livestream is to show people that standing still is not the way to go. By bringing together professional artists and DJs the ‘Silent Art Experience’ wants to bring back some positivity in these dark times.
“By kicking off 2021 with an inspirational event,” they say, they will provide artists with a platform “to stream their creativity and talents, while giving the viewer something energetic and creative to do from home.”
Some of the artists who will be taking part in the livestream are Yorick Knijff, from Radio Pannekoek in Breda, The Netherlands; Margot ten Bok with ‘Voor de Leuk’  from Twente; Dwayne Pinnock from Rotterdam; and Senna van Esch from SEVAES, in Tilburg, The Netherlands.
Other artists outside Holland will also lend their creativity, including “Kaiser Dorian,” from Stuttgart, Germany, and Christos Tzovaras from the National School of Dance, in Athens, Greece.
The event will be streamed online via Twitch. Make sure you keep an eye on their socials for more information as the date approaches. The two-hour-long event will begin at 3 PM local time in Athens, Greece on Sunday, January 10.
