A new dramatic video emerged recently showing Turkish vessels harass Greek fishing boats.
The incident took place in Greek territorial waters near the island of Kalymnos.
In the video, it is clear that Turkish coast guard vessels perform dangerous maneuvers to stop the Greek fishermen from doing their job.
The footage is from January 6, on Epiphany Day, a major religious celebration for the Greeks.
Moreover, it shows clearly that men of the coast guard of Turkey even threatened the Greek professionals with guns.

Greek Fishing Boats are Being Constantly Harassed

Speaking with Greece’s Thema Radio on Sunday morning, Costas Saroukos, who is the President of the Association of Fisheries of Kalymnos, explained that this was not a one-off incident.
”We are facing this on a daily basis,” Saroukos noted, showing how difficult their everyday life has become due to Turkey’s behavior.
Similar incidents have been taking place for years around the islets of Imia, near Kalymnos.
Imia is a pair of small, uninhabited islets, situated between the Greek island chain of the Dodecanese and the southwestern mainland coast of Turkey.
They were the object of a military crisis and subsequent dispute over sovereignty between Greece and Turkey in 1996.
The European Union-backed the Greek side in the Imia dispute and warned Turkey to refrain from any kind of threat or action directed against the sovereignty of Greece.
There have been several tense incidents involving ships from Greece and Turkey in the Aegean.
