According to the Henley Passport Index, the Greek passport is ranked among the strongest passports in the world for the year 2021.
This comes as no surprise since Greek citizens have been enjoying visa-free travel to hundreds of destinations for years.
In 2021, the holders of the Greek passport will be able to travel without the hassle of applying for a visa to a total of 184 countries.

Greek passport ranked 8th

The Greek passport shares eighth place along with Australia, the Czech Republic, and Malta, according to Hanley’s list.
The Japanese passport remains at the top of the list for the third consecutive year, providing visa-free access to 191 destinations, followed by Singapore with 190.
A total of 189 countries can be enjoyed visa-free by the holders of German and South Korean passports.
The Italian, Finnish, and Spanish passports, as well as those of Luxembourg, offer visa-free access to 188 countries.
However, it has to be noted that due to the coronavirus pandemic, travel is extremely difficult.
For some, it’s even impossible, due to the temporary restrictions imposed by several countries.
